I work as a Rural & Suburban Mail Carrier (for Canada Post) and am a Recovering Academic. I have written books on Rush and Peter Gabriel, book chapters and journal articles (including recent ones on music in The Simpsons), and numerous conference papers. I earlier developed and taught dozens of courses on popular music, film music, and other topics (as a part-time/adjunct or visiting instructor). I have also worked part-time as a choral singer, choral librarian, web developer, and LCBO (liquor store) customer service agent, and full-time as a technology e-commerce order support agent.
